The Chicago Bulls earned the number eight seed and a spot in the 2010 NBA playoffs against top seeded Cleveland Cavaliers led by LeBron James. The Bulls earned their spot on the final day of the regular season by beating the Bobcats 98-89 which ended the Toronto Raptor’s season and playoff hopes.
The Phoenix Suns earned the number three seed after their win over the Utah Jazz 100-86. Phoenix is set to play on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The two conference top seeds have been set with the Los Angeles Lakers set at number one in the West and the Cleveland Cavaliers grabbing the top seed in the East. Rivals Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are expected to meet in the finals according to experts predicting the outcome of the 2010 NBA playoff brackets.
A total of sixteen teams will being playing in the first round of the games set to begiin this Saturday, April 17, 2010.
Cleveland, Atlanta, Orlando and Boston all have home court advantage for the first round of the best of seven series.
